I think we can all agree that "K" is the most unnecessary, most unfavored letter

Actually, i agree. I first realized that when i began my latin studies. The letter K is not in the latin alphabet. Some people replace C sometimes with K, but that's just bc they like how K looks or something. It's pretty much the same thing in english. K is TOTALLY replaceable in any word with one single letter, not even a complicated dipthong: C
