What's the point in Pride month?

What's the point in pride month? I swear it's just an excuse for straight people to tell everyone that ''hey! I'm not homophobic! I'm celebrating Pride Month!'' Like I swear straight people care more about it than the LGBTQ+ community. I feel like there should be a better way to celebrate People's diversity. Instead of just companies changing their logo to a rainbow.

yeah it's been used for that. but it's really just supposed to be a break for LGBTQIA+ since people will be more "nice" to our community to not face public backlash and once again WE DON'T support companies using it for clout (unless it's skittles since what they do for that is halarious)

Pride Month commemorates the Stonewall Riots of 1969 and celebrates the contributions, struggles, and ongoing pursuit of equality by the LGBTQ+ community. It's a time for the LGBTQ+ community to uplift and celebrate their freedom to live authentically, while also advocating for acceptance, equality, and human rights.

@Ren-Kun Thanks, I don't really hear that talked about enough.
