i have a service dog and I was in at a con with one of my friends a couple days ago. But these little kids (most likely elementary) starting barking and growling at my dog?? I did what i would normally do and walked away. A couple minutes later they came up to me and tried to pet her. It clearly says ''Do Not Touch/Distract Please. I'm Working.'' But i decided to tell them that she was working and please dont touch her. but they said 'Service dogs arent real!! youre just faking!!'' I didnt want to talk to them anymore because i was already annoyed from them barking/growling at her.

Honestly good on you for handling it how you did, those kids shouldn't have done that and I hope someone teaches them a lesson because tormenting service dogs is messed up. I'm really sorry that happened though but you handled it very well and hopefully those kids learn a lesson sooner rather than later.

f them kids when i see service dogs in public and they look like their on duty i keep going about my day but if they dont have the "im working" thing on i ask the owner is it alright if pet/give them a treat
