as wolfie said, pollenation, they also serve as food sources vor hundreds of species. not to mention ofc there are diff types of mosquitos that develop over time in different regions

2 things to remember: they exisg for a reason and they survived for a reason
i think a lot of people struggle with the shortsightedness of "it annoys me so its bad, and the facts that insects dont inherently want to harm you. theyre just biomechanical processes trying to survive. aware? maybe. sentient? debatable no (ofc this doesnt apply to animals, crabs especially are veryy smart)
