more context for flagging

ok so, what if we had the option of different reasons to flag a user/post like, is it spam, adult content, mass advertising, inappropriate bio, ya know that type of thing to add more context to the flagging feature? because sometimes it might not be obvious what was being flagged, plus with a specific reason it'll help with false flags. idk, i think it'd be a thing to think about adding. i'm not sure how often false flags occur, but this would help i think, like for example rec room lets you choose a specific reason why you are reporting a message. i think thats a good idea, other sites more well known than this one use it and i think it helps.

Yeah usually I'll see that on a site you have yo write your own message about why you're flagging the person. Overall I think thats the best idea, because the devs shouldn't need to make an option for EVERY possibility. Letting people be specific would be much more effecent. And then maybe it kinda works like an email for mods, so that you would see the offender, the person who flagged them, and the reason. I don't know what the system is right now, I assume you just flag people and the mods do the rest

yeah

i think the few i listed would be too many to make/not enough for actual situations

@Yanderemenhera agreed, and if you had a message about why the devs wouldnt need to brainstorm about every single way someone could misuse the site

yeah, the custom message thing is probably the best option
-
Yeah that really is the purpose of the custom message. Either way, some of you don't even give us context about the incident and end up writing "offensive" or things like that which makes It hard for us to respond quickly because we have to end up dming you to get the full story behind it.
My personal recommendation would be to use the custom message option if this occurred using the chat system, if it is on the profile, use the profile report feature, and if it is a post report the post not the profile.
