why is it so hard for people to be kind

with the currdnt year, a lot of hatred has happened. not everyone is kind.
why do people resort to threats, and mocking a person? (not abou like. genuinely evil people though)
why are we so hatefilled? like an animal snapping its jaws at anoher, for no reason at all?
when somebody says "dont call me that" why is it so hard for people to listen out of respect?

why is it that people are bad at being kind, and how can we be kind-er

i have noticed humanity as a whole has become significantly more hateful in recent years, between physical violence and disrespect of others. i too am apart of that demographic, to an extent. however, people oftentimes take joy in seeing the frustration in others, for one reason or another.(i too, am apart of that demographic.) we are slowly becoming naturally hateful as a species and the only thing we can do to stop that is to show simple respect, which you would think we be simple considering how many people want to be respected but refuse to respect other's words and preferences.

i think its mainly ignorance and alot of people try to hard to be right or protect their ego and always need to win or get what they want, and many stuggle to have empathy because sometimes having empathy means taking accountability, which people wont do because once again, ignorance.

some simply dont care about others aswell and theres nothing else to it
i dont think most people who do bad things are 'evil', usually hurt ppl hurt other ppl, some are genuinely crazy tho, and others kinda are evil/ genuinely just dont gaf abt anyone but themselves

i used to get bullied alot when i was 12 and as i got older those ppl started beng nice to me and i started to notice that alot of my 'haters' had worse lives then me outside of school

when i moved to a more wealthy area kids were mainly mean to seem cool and make their friends laugh and boost their egos, i think this is a example of pure ignorance, just kids trying to be cool without realizing how their actions effect people

for more ghetto kids, theyre usually raised in aggressive environments and learn to be defensive and 'defend themselves', which often leads to them...being ghetto and starting beef over nothing

people online are mean because they can ge mean without any real consequence and dont truly register the person theyer talking to as a real complex human whos just like them

'mean girls' are usually entitled and dont have actual empathy because theyre certain things theyve never had to experience, most 'mean girls', im talking abt the more stereotypical uptight ones who arent ghetto but still toxic, have never been slapped for disrespecting someone or properly embarrassed, so they become a bit too confident

mean or cranky old people often were hurt in the past or had rougher lives and basically make it everyone elses problem

anyway, i think some people are genuinely born without the ability to care for others, like psychopaths, and others are just hella entitled and ignorant, and that most people are who they are for a reason, but i firmly believe that one act of kindness will inspire another and that if more people went out of there way to interact with others positively, even in the smallest way (smiling at a stranger when you make eyecontact) the world would be a kinda and happier place.
