i've been on basically ever antidepressant know to man, they did nothing for me except make feel withdrawals (prozac is hell to come off of) and worsen my depression. i've been at higher doses of Lexapro than a lot of grown adults. I stopped taking them over a year ago, and I quit therapy. all the mental healthcare i've experienced was bullsh!t. i've written detailed depictions of things like psych wards on other platforms and such.
and you know what i've found? the most effective thing for my depression? literally just higher doses of caffeine. like deadass, prozac, Lexapro, ect at questionable doses didn't do what caffeine does for me, it's not like, magical happy juice, but it makes life worth living if that makes sense. it makes me feel enjoyment in the little things. it just gives me a reason to do things and it helps get rid of the numb.
now, please don't stop taking your meds just bc I (some randomass person on a nechie forum) never found any success with it and please don't try to treat MMD or any other mental illness with bang! energy. just like, common sense crap lol, i'm not a doctor and I do not recommend doing what I do
