Anyone else hate cults of personality?

I really don't like it when people constantly glaze this one person over and over simply because that person INTENTIONALLY validated whatever would've made them "like" them. Like this one singular person deciding to use tactics that cults use to create a cult-like following who will blindly defend them, usually slandering and harassing people who stop hanging around them or their victims (another tactic that cults use), recruiting people by being a literal devil on their shoulder just saying over and over that that person is in the right so they feel like its normal for them to do the same for him/her/singular they (or other manipulation tactics but this is the most common, just causing them psychois). Bonus points if they target children.
DISCLAIMER: This post is not targeted at anyone currently on this forum, this is mostly just a vent post
