can someone help me understand modern pronouns?

so... just hear me on this... i dont understand "thing" "it" or stuff like catself or like yk etc etc...
I DONT MEAN TO BE DISRESPECTFUL, I DONT UNDERSTAND- IM ASKING FOR AN EXPLINATION PLEASE- SO THAT IM NOT DISRESPECTFUL-
so... how does one identify as a non-human... like i get mentally, but dont we have a body...? or like catself.. or like people who will genuinely identify as objects... or characters...
in short the questions im asking-
1: how can one refer to a person of such?
2: how can one avoid calling them a person if they dont identify as such, and how can you talk to them?
3: what are these pronouns?
4: how would one describe being non-human as an identity\pronoun\gender? -
I want to ask this in a respectful way, because i know some people are actually fr abt it.. and i wonder how i can avoid being disrespectful talking to them.
am i able to say "you" or "them" or "they" as default pronouns? (if i dont know someones pronouns, i norm refer as "them" or "they" because its universal and counts as a word for a person)
