Favorite POC in anime?

As a person of color who loves anime, I really appreciate when a anime features a genuinely good character of color! I know a lot of people probably don't care, but for those who do, who's your favorite ethnic anime character? (doesn't have to be black specifically)

The show Yasuke was made by a American but i'd still consider it a anime, and the main character (Yasuke) is definitely very iconic and the fact that he's based off the actual Yasuke (who is considered "the first black samurai") makes his character way cooler, the idea that a real person inspired the whole show is really interesting to me. Plus, Yasuke is just a dope MC overall in my opinion.

I find ive always found it rather strange that theres harldy any people of colour in anime. couldnt name one to save me live
and im a crazy anime fan so thats when u know its bad

and im a crazy anime fan so thats when u know its bad @Weeblikeartist Ikr! It actually inspired me to start this magical girl series that's kinda like a "hood parody" of Sailor moon, I think the reason POC of color don't appear much in anime isn't for a racist reason but because there's not a lot of of POC in Japan, I haven't done much research so i'm not totally sure.

Nessa is a video game character but she was in the Pokemon Twilight wings thing so she's also technically a anime character, I absolutely love her design, as a character she's pretty simple but most Pokemon characters are since it's not a very deep or serious franchise for the most part. I feel like they did a very good job with her, plus black people with blue hair look cool to me for some reason

@Fruity yeah its not common in japan, thats why you dont see blondes often in older anime
