I don't care about the votes, this is getting out of hand, CSS can be used on posts if you put a TW, or in DMs, replies are NOT allowed unless the poster allows for them, aside from that both CSS and the # texts are BANNED from public chats. Doing so will score a warning, this is subject to change depending on any alternatives solutions we may find. But for now, keep it clean.

I hate to use the announcements for something like this but I see a lot of people worried about bans over things like disliking changes or complaining about problems on DNS. I'd like to publicly state that you are entitled to your own opinions and your voices are heard, the only reason you'd get banned for a complaint is if you made it personal. This could include things like targeting people personally, using a bunch of insults and swearing, or really anything with offensive intention rather than helpful and constructive. Anyone who responds with "Idc about him, it's others I care about," or "He had it coming" has a poor moral compass. He was just a speaker and my mom told me a bit about him and he wasn't the worst person, his statements are apparently taken out of context a lot (Idk much about him, if anyone watched his stuff I would like to hear about him)- But while there wasn't much I liked about him, he has a lot of Trump's bad views but the whole point of the convention was to prove him wrong.. He did NOT need a bullet in 'im and the fact someone thought the was appropriate way to handle a speaker is terrible- Left right center let's all agree you shouldn't get blasted for having opinions

So I've seen many different users use things like numbers or special characters as letter substitutes for speaking. This isn't problematic, however it could be significantly harder to read for those with reading disabilities. So, if you'd like to type like that, I think it's fair to require translation at the end for those born with issues reading. Ex: 3x@mp13 // Example. I would like opinions on this rule in the comments before implementation

@Raven Honestly I feel like that rule needs changed- I was gonna ask about it, people should be allowed to at least DISCUSS controversial topics, so long as nobody is fighting and it's all debate, isn't that what we want? People to disagree and discuss topics? We shouldn't allow fighting, if things get heated and become less intellectual and more personal, then yeah, cut it, but banning discussion/debate defeats the purpose of a forum. Forums are made to discuss and share interests and information right?

The care stems from the fact he was a large political figure, and I see TONS OF PEOPLE mock his death, to which you've seemed to turn a blind eye to because you, like many others, disagree with him and have no reason to care. I'm absolutely positive trans folk laughed at his death as he opposed LGTBQ+ and while I heavily disagree with 98% of his views, I find it terrible to laugh at ANYONE'S death. And stop trying to argue like 89% of the population is homophobic, nowadays most democrats and even a lot of republicans are in support. Just because one [censored] got mocked (Which is terrible, I agree with you), doesn't make everyone [censored] and transphobic. Ultimately there is ALWAYS going to be two sides of a coin, the more well know you are the more people to your aid.

Allow me to summarize what most of these are going to round up to regardless of length. "It overused water to the point lakes slowly drain regardless of if it comes back with rain.", "It harms the environment in this way or that.", or " It steals work/steals from hardworking creators. " This is my guess though, all of those are reasonable.

In my eyes, I think AI should be more focused on the TOOL part of it, it wouldn't use as much water or cause as much damage if people weren't have friendly conversation with it, Gemini summarizing searches and giving the sources is a great example of what I like in AI. But we either need a better way to cool it and run it, or we need to make it so that it doesn't do a bunch of dumb extra stuff which requires more cooling and therefore more resources. If you're going to argue it still needs cooled when not doing work, my argument would be that it's slowed enough to the point it isn't causing as much environmental harm, PLENTY of things use water as coolant and AI being one of those isn't bad for it, the issue is how much it has to use, reducing that would help its case a lot even if you don't remove it out right.

(Also if we could make it so AI art didn't exist simply to run less resources it'd help a lot, I feel AI workers could still make it for learning analysis but, normal people don't need that kind of thing. I personally don't care for the training as the AI still draws independently regardless of how many things it was trained on, but it would fix that too.)
