this is about the movie "The Man In The Moon" (1991) with Reese Witherspoon(dani), Emily Warfeild(maureen), and Jason London(court)...spoiler warning now so if you plan on watching the movie leave and come back later...............
ok guys, im on team dani. let me tell you why though, court mightve been 17 and dani mightve been 14, but he had more of a connection with dani than her sister maureen (18). he expressed he wanted dani but she was about one year too young, i think he deep down loved dani as much as dani loved him...you might say "no, he loved maureen!!" no...he LÜSTED over maureen...he couldnt do what he wanted to do with dani, so he went to her older sister...dani had more of a right to be upset when court died rather that maureen and when it was said in the movie maureen was more right to be upset when maureen slept with court once and talked to him for 3 days like seriously??? they had lust, dani and court had love. granted it was a forbidden love situation due to age, i still stand with dani...and im not saying maureen shouldnt be upset, but she didnt have any more of a right than dani yk? also, i think he wouldve still been alive had maureen respected dani enough to leave who she loved alone and not slept with him that day, he wouldve never put his hat on that tree and so he wouldve never tried to reach out and get it on his tractor...not saying its maureens complete fault, but it wouldnt have happened had she not slept with him that day...anywaysssss thoughts on this guys? opinions? lmk bro im tweakin
