@macncheese. i've never heard of the disability argument from an actual disabled person, I deal with join pain and my wrist band things are broken, and I still drew that shit the amount of disabled artists out there is actually hella high and this AI slop would likely offend them like crazy, like seriously, art is the most accessible thing ever, people without hands or are blind can make amazing art while the slop machine can't even draw a decent cartoon character

people can also use accessibility aids to help the draw and a lot of them are free or inexpensive, people with tremmers could use ibis paint's stablelizing feature or they could work it into their art style like with Shakey linework, I know arthritis runs in my family and as i've gotten older my joints have hurt, nothing too crazy but still kinda sucks but what helps me a bit without any need for good health insurance or an actual artheritis daignosis (or another daignosis, I'm not a doctor) is wrist bands, their design is kinda evil, they're all sold individually so you gotta buy two different ones :p

you put an elastic loop around your wrist, and then you put the chunky black part around your wrist and secure it with Velcro and it supports your wrist and does limit it's movement a bit and it's not a magic bullet but that's what helps me out when I don't have the gumption to deal with wrist pain while drawing or making jewlery.

I will never use AI over my own two hands even if it's unpleasant to do so.

and it seems like either one or two things are happening now, either people are too lazy to reply to posts, so they copy and paste AI text, or they're just bots who figured out how to post. if you are a real person having your AI companion read this to you and you aren't a robot, please stop using AI to generate posts. you are sucking the human creativity from this and if you can't form a simple, sentence long reply to a post, why even use a forum website to begin with?

I tried to keep my main post short and in a few paragraghs btw so a lot of other things were left out to avoid it being too long to read, I'll put a reply in about people trying to speak for people with wrist pain or some other disability needing AI to express their creativity because they couldn't possibly be capable of creation

I'm not going to beat a dead horse and talk too much about one person nor beat around the bush and avoid being offensive, AI generated content isn't art nor should it be posted into this catagory for that reason. while I personally find the AI gulping water thing to be redundent because we use things like plastic and electricity and gasoline every day for example, what isn't talked about nearly enough is the principle of it, AI is fed content from unconsenting artists to create those shitty pictures with 3 arms, weird fingers, and much more. by using AI, you are more or less getting a shitty version of someone else's work that was stolen from them with zero compensation and I frankly find it to be the most direspectful thing you could do to or as an artist. like seriously, how can you call yourself an artist if all you're doing is stealing someone else's art? a horrid amalgamation of other people's content made by a soulless machine?

you can use stock photos (free to use images from real people who've consented to have their content used by others) or ask for someone to draw it for you if they do free commissions, or if you have the money, pay an actual artist like 10, 15$ to draw you something or just draw it yourself if you're a real artist.

another thing is art theft, like if you screenshot someone else's work and clame it as your own. if it's not yours and you're not like, posting for a friend with their permission, don't post it. like seriously? why are you resorting to just stealing someone else's stuff for clout? you're literally one reverse image search away from everyone losing all respect for you.

like, genuinely, why post stolen content or AI generated imagery here? can we as a community not do that?

anyways, I should give you a treat for reading this, I know someone was gonna make a more in depth thing on AI, but they think none would read it. here's a human verison of an AI generated oc and me explaining what I did with their design

there was a lot of inconsistancys with the design from image to image, and there was inconsistancys with hands for example so I just gave her chubby, 4 fingered hands because I just was low-key not using all my brain power to decifer how many fingures she had.

I wanted her design to feel a bit more... organic I guess? I gave her a band aid on her knee with a lil bruise, and a partially tucked-in shirt to fit the nonchalant vide she had, I also think this OC was supposed to look emo but AI and gotcha club is limiting??? so I just added onto her design a bit to make it more emo I guess, like a skull shirt and tattered shorts with a belt chain.

I wasn't too sure what her hair clip was intended to be, I think a flower? I just did a little ribbon with "rip" in the center and I could see in the image that I think the AI tried to give her a gotcha life face so I gave a face simmaler. fpe isn't as detailed as this, I was just going off of the AI generated image and trying to refine the design.
also, I ask we not continue to beat a dead horse with like, spesfic people and can we talk broudly about art theft and AI generated content as a subject of discussion?

@Spooky-GooXy i'm actively drawing this thing right now, the AI oc ref sheet is kinda a pain because of all the inconsistancys, extra/miss limbs and so on, the AI didn't really replacate the fpe style pretty well tbh, so I'm just trying to take the AI design and make it look more organic I suppose
