trans in Michigan are in big trouble
-
this is something the @administrators should look into and decide what they want to do, this would be a legal issue if it gets passed, but honestly, i think people will be mad about adult content going bye-bye more than anything else and that might be what stops this from being approved

Here's the full text of the proposed law: https://legislature.mi.gov/documents/2025-2026/billintroduced/House/htm/2025-HIB-4938.htm
And here's an article going over it: https://reason.com/2025/09/22/michigan-anti-porn-bill-would-criminalize-asmr-written-erotica-and-even-nonsexual-depictions-of-trans-people/
As far as this site is concerned, we will follow all applicable laws for the states that our users reside in. Likely, if my understanding is correct, that would look like preventing Michigan users from accessing the website in order to comply with the bill if it passes.

@VGMoose its sad, but i do definitely understand why. i really hope the bill doesn't get passed

-ban pornography
-classify the existence of trans people as such
-justify putting people in prison for existing as who they are -
yeah

i did have a post asking people in Michigan to vote against this law, but i deleted it bc of contiversy, i might restore the topic later, but that topic could be merged with this one :p
-

@amongusenjoyer please god dont let it spread if it passes
-
safer states like ca and ny probably wont pass it but i worry about every one else, and also the 2 states i listed.
-
if it spreads to wisconsin, idk what im gonna do. this place and spacehey and roblox are my only forms of community. all 3 will probably ban me from their sites to comply
-
if it passes, and spreads ill be alone. :C
