Anyone else hate it when people accept genuinely terrible flaws about themselves?

Like people casually saying how they love killing small animals or manipulate and harm other people or themselves through their behaviors and just accept how they are like it's a kids show saying "Be Yourself!" and they just enable themselves and their worst flaws through that without actually making an actual effort to change for the better

It's usually out of a form of slightly self-aware pride, ego, or just pure laziness to change tbh

I know someone who is extremely, unashamedly nosey. They use the information they get out of it as gossip material (and it's only ever the negative things that they tell everyone else about). You can literally tell this person nothing if you only want them to know. Also, if your home isn't pitch-perfect, you can't let them in. They'll tell everyone everything negative about where you live. Sometimes, they even make assumptions and gossip about them like it's really true.

Everytime this problem is brought up to this person, their excuse is "Well, it's not gossip if it's true."

Also, they're rac1st and a body-shamer. And everytime someone calls them out on that, they act like they don't know what you're talking about or laugh because they think insulting others and making rac1st comments is funny.

I'm genuinely so tired of them.

I think it can also come from the misinterpretation or abuse of the idea of freedom, that they can hurt others or themselves just because they are able to choose to do so, especially if their actions result in the freedom they abused being lost or the freedom of others being lost (getting addicted to something, going to prison, physically getting injured, dying obviously, endangering others or themselves, being in online spaces that can result in the listed before happening (also counts as endangering), etc.).
