Moving on.

Good evening.
I am writing to let you all know that I have made the rather tough but necessary decision to step down from my role as a staff member and permanently delete both of my accounts. (@aperitif & @idyll)
Over the past few weeks, my mental state has rapidly been deteriorating yet again. I have become increasingly paranoid with the people around me, and have not been sleeping well. Staying composed has become harder and harder. Furthermore, school has become much more demanding. It has come to the point where I physically cannot balance moderation and doing my work. I come home physically exhausted, with little to no time to rest. I considered taking a leave of absence as long as necessary to recollect myself, however, I had already done this before over the summer, and I only ended up back on square 1. Temporary absences just kick the can down the road. Additionally, I am an adult now. That means more responsibilities that I will have to take on soon. I will be getting a job, and I will soon start my driving exams (where I live, the minimum age to drive is 18). I've done everything I can to come online as much as I could, for my friends and to keep the website clean, but doing so I only achieved irreversible burnout. For this reason, I have no other choice but to step away for good, for the sake of whatever little sanity I have left. I never really wanted to moderate, but I decided to give it a shot since I felt bad seeing the website in such a bad state. However, I can say that all enthusiasm I had for moderating this website has now disappeared. I promise I tried my best. I sincerely apologise if I was ever harsh or unfair towards anybody. It was never my intention, as I tend to have bad days which make me snappy and reactive. I want to thank all of the amazing friends that I've made during my (almost) 1 year stay. They were the biggest motivators that kept me going. If fate allows, we could cross paths again in the future. But, for now, it's a goodbye. I need space from everybody. When I get better, I will re-enable my requests so we could keep in touch and talk sometimes. Until next time! 🪻- Idyll/Aperitif; Friday, the 23rd of October, 2026.
