Religion is honestly kind of a rough subject for me, if I’m being honest. I am agnostic but not because I’m not Christian and don’t think God exists, but because I don’t want to be a part of the Church. I was born into a very Protestant Christian family, like most people. I was baptized as soon as I could’ve been, I pray every night, I celebrate Christmas not as a family holiday but as the birth of Christ, normal Christian stuff. My family, however, has made the idea of being a part of the religion I was born into so suffocating that I don’t want to be associated with it. I might delve more into it some other time but I really hate talking about it. Why am I talking about this, you ask? I’m bringing this up because for whatever reason, religious posts seem to be popping up more and more. I don’t really care but saying things like, “JESUS LOVES YOU!” in the title just feels kind of pressuring, yk? And if people aren’t allowed to talk about [certain internet religion] out in the open then why is it ok for other forms of religion? (I know the difference between an internet cult and an ancient belief hundreds of years old but you know what I mean.) Verse of the Day is fine because honestly? It says exactly what it’s going to be about. I don’t know, I just think it’s weird.
