back in the day, gay men wern't allowed in the US military. gay men had a phrase to recignize fellow gay men, ''friends of Dorothy''. the military caught on and they were trying to figure out where tf this Dorothy [censored] was only to find out they were talking about Dorothy from the wizard of oz as apperntly she used to be a gay icon/symbol
