My little sister has it. She is non-verbal autistic and it makes my insides boil whenever someone uses the word autism as a joke.. They don't understand the struggle people go through with it.

this is part of the reason why i try to distance myself from it aas much as possible. for me, im high functioning and i really don't benifit from ''being daignosed'' and frankly imo its not a disability for me, (whereas, seizures definitely are) and obviously i've lived my enter life like this so i really donno what im missing not being autistic so i'd not want ssdi (basicly, government gimme some money bc im ''disabled") or to be put into a group home because it robs people who are genuinely at a disadvantage with there autism severity of that support and yet, people in my life pushes for it and it pmo
