@Yanderemenhera They were removed primarily cause of multiple people sending people down 50+ rep within seconds all because they didn’t like the user, had a fight with them or they made a post they didn’t like. Downvotes aren’t necessarily bad but when there abused like that then they turn negative.

The reason we won't get them back is because the people here were trolling really bad, better way to approach this would be removing controversial, it kinda just sparked drama anyway-

you gotta ask yourself why would you would consider downvoting someones post.. as opposed to not liking it and just therefor walking away onto something else... you do not have to reply to everything you see.. you could also actually leave a comment on the reasons you dont like it rather than lazily being negative.. maybe it would if put forward correctly , instigate some actual conversation.

@ladiesman217 In theory it sounds good, but in practice it seems like it’d get out of hand. The negative would likely outweigh any positive effects.

@Spamberer i agree, it's just asking for unnecessary negativity, if ppl dont like something they can just not engage or actually explain why by replying, dislikes are kinda just for haters in my opinion
