@Yanderemenhera They were removed primarily cause of multiple people sending people down 50+ rep within seconds all because they didnβt like the user, had a fight with them or they made a post they didnβt like. Downvotes arenβt necessarily bad but when there abused like that then they turn negative.

you gotta ask yourself why would you would consider downvoting someones post.. as opposed to not liking it and just therefor walking away onto something else... you do not have to reply to everything you see.. you could also actually leave a comment on the reasons you dont like it rather than lazily being negative.. maybe it would if put forward correctly , instigate some actual conversation.

@Spamberer i agree, it's just asking for unnecessary negativity, if ppl dont like something they can just not engage or actually explain why by replying, dislikes are kinda just for haters in my opinion
