I found out the man who has been raising me is possibly not my real father.
my father might be a man who got drunk and drowned years ago, because my mom was messing around with men in the minute that my mom and dad broke up.
as most of you know my mom is in prison. so I could just be being raised by two people completely unrelated to me.
my dad has kept this from me, until saturday, when I asked him if I was really his.
I wish I would've stayed curious. this would mean my grandparents aren't truly related. 2 of my siblings would be half blood, and 3 would be unrelated.

pooks, i'll be honest, blood isn't important, only bond. your relationship with someone matters more than being related by blood. if he loves and cares for you than that's your dad. it doesn't matter whether or not you guy's share DNA

my dad's dad who passed away last year might've not actually been his dad, but he loved him and took care of him regardless of a DNA test. my dad loved him very much regardless. and even if I saw him a handful of times when he was still alive, I was his grand kid. my "real" grandpa (on my mom's side) is a [censored] horrible man, he was physically abusive and basically every other horrible thing, he might be my grandpa 100% in the DNA department, he isn't my grandpa where it counts. I think at the end of the day, it's ok to not be blood related to someone, I think all that matters is love.
