Look upon him means to gaze upon, behold, and believe in Jesus Christ as the Savior.
According to the scripture, the will of the Father is that everyone who genuinely looks on the Son and trusts in Him will receive eternal life and be raised up on the last day.And of course after you do all that you will bear Fruit.
Love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control.
