@_Izzy_ in some places, you are of the age when you're 16, but the only catch is they have to be around your age so legally yes. but idk about your parents, if you don't feel safe telling them, don't and in two years you can do what ever you want regardless of what they want anyway
@Yanderemenhera yeah in mass age of consent is 16 so im wondering if that means i can legally do whatever relationship wise now? even if thats the case my parents are scary and i dont think they care abt laws
but i also dont want to lie abt my bf, i just want to be able to have a normal highschool relationship without my parents being OD but idk how to talk to them abt it:/

im turning 16 in less then 30 days and i plan to idk confront my parents abt my relationship with my bf bc im tired of lying abt it, they said im not allowed to talk to him but im turning 16 so does it rlly matter?

Your parents opinion doesn't really matter in the eyes of the law, at least not when it comes to dating someone of similar age. I don't know about in the US, but over here when you turn sixteen you can legally live by yourself. Your parents are only legally responsible for you till the age of 18.

@Aries where I live, I can make some desitions for myself, like, even if my parents didn't want me to drop out of school (I did, i'm getting a GED, I didn't just drop out to drop out. i'd be in college sometime in August if I signed up in time but I didn't so I gotta wait) at 16-17 I can do that, it's weird what you legally can and can't do in my region, like I can live alone in college but all paperwork needs to be filled out by my parents
