so I recently realized I usually end up looking like a butch lesbian, or at least hella androgynous, I fit the steroytype/label of how they look embarrasingly well. i'd just consider myself ace and the two people i've dated in my life were male and female (one was a girl, one was a boy), so i'm not actually a like,

lesbian

but I think realizing it, I realize that the butch lesbian and the gay (or bi) bear are fairly simmaler tropes but, like, reversed the gender.

now like, I feel like it's important to say that yes, it might be a sterotype but some people really do like labels like "butch" or "femme" or a "bear" and a "femboy" and relationship pairings like this while "stereotypical" do exist and aren't any less valid for that.

so I tend to have short hair, I have the big αss oversized men's cargo pants with like, over ten pockets, I have scars (I have one literally from a hot glue gun so trust me bro it's not epic), resting b!tch face (I literally cannot have a "normal" full smile due to issues like a really bad overbite T-T) unbuttoned flannels and yes, I wear them as a jacket, i'm tall, only thing i'm missing is some doc martins istg 😭 and I could literally go on, but you get the idea.

looking back on it, i've noticed other girls view me as "tough" and people tend to avoid me or view me as like, a Sigma in the sense i've held a girl's hand once because she was afraid to walk through darkness alone, i'm usually called on by other girl's to do things that they find scary since i'm "tough''.

basically, like the stereotype of a bunch of twinks/femboys needing like, a bear to protect them or like, be tough for them. (I am aware that Twink is more of a body type and a femboy is a femmine boy/man but the terms are usually used interchangeably and they go hand and hand usually)

it's weird lol, i've also picked up on that the butch and femme thing is real, and it isn't. I feel like the term "butch" and "femme" can be gate-kept like crazy but i've actually known a butch and femme married couple, they were both like middle aged, one liked pink bows and the other wore the same clothes as my dad, but she was short and had longer hair and not like a men's haircut and her more feminine wife was extremely tall, like my height or taller so some people might not consider it a "real" butch and femme pairing due to the "femme" being tall and the butch being really short and having a ponytail and not a buzz cut.

i've heard that people who call themselves "femme" like butches because they are "brave" "strong (like emotionally)" and "tough" and it reminds me of when I hear a femboy discussing why they want a bear.

and while no, not everyone is like this, like i've met a girl who was very femmine and she wanted other girly chicks like her and the girl who I held their hand was fairly masculine and possibly had a crush on me (who's also uh, not hella femmine)
the overlap is interesting, like sometimes one person in a queer relationship takes on a more like, femmine or masculine persona and it ends up looking more like a straight relationship, but I really wanna make it clear that no, if you're a femme and want a butch, you're not straight and the butch isn't the same as a man and vice versa.

I find the idea that just because like, a masculine man wants a Twink he's actually straight since the Twink is "close enough" to a woman why not a women? to be stupid, because like, obviously, maybe it's kinda like a straight relationship doesn't mean it is one and the person isn't gay for wanting himself a femboy in a pleated skirt.

and i've heard some people make the argument "but i'm a guy and if it looks like a girl it's close enough, i'd date a femboy but that's not gay!"
and uh... idk how to tell them this... but bisexual and everything under that label exists and uhhh... they might be that way ( ꈨຶ ˙̫̮ ꈨຶ )

but idk, maybe I got no room to talk since i'm like, ace and not actually a lesbian, this is just what i've noticed.

What I tend to do is have my stylist cut into into a "Short Wolf-cut" or something close to to it. I tend to make my hair fluffy so that when it grows, It'll take form better. Just a suggestion!! ^^
