i dont live in america n everytime someone like mentions "chromebooks" or like "strict" parents it js boggles my mind cuz stuff in my country is so different, like, yall r rich asf how tf do ur schools afford school laptops

n beating children w a stick or like making them kneel over ant hills(which is rly common) isnt strictly forbidden or looked down upon ngl

im not poor asf but it still like boggles my mind

where I live, hitting children with things like belts isn't uncommon, people will do it in public to children who appear to be 1 or 2 years old. I was hit by my mom until I was 10 and I hit puberty and she felt too uncomfortable to continue.

I think in America it depends on the region for things like hitting children to be normal, in more rural areas it's very common whereas a big city in California smacking your child in public would be extremely tabbo and frowned appon.

I do have a Chromebook too btw, i'd imagine they'd be expensive when bought on mass for a school, but a Chromebook is actually fairly cheap for an electronic, at least in my country. a Chromebook used for example is like $25 and shipping is $17 and 95 cents . I believe mine was bought new and it was $100, I do not know the exact price for like tax and stuff, mine isn't a school device but it was bought for me as a gift.
