like straight up one of the bad/annoying people ever and the second group shown says "black community" so everything they say has a comically large sticker saying that they're black right next to it like ref DO SOMETHING ohmygod

(i dont think they're active anymore it was just insane seeing their profile then seeing how they advertised that, the comedic timing is kinda crazy)

it's even worse with lgbqt (i cant remember the acronym) because im pretty sure there's actual cases of deranged criminals committing horrible crimes then suddenly claiming that they're lgb to slander people

i dont think there's even an actual international or national community of any gender, race, etc. It's kinda goofy to say "black community" or "lgb community" when most people dont know eachother and uncle ruckus-type people exist in all of these "communities." I don't think i've heard a singular person say the "men community" or the "women community" now that i think of it; that'd be the goofiest example of this though if it happened.

But I agree with this post so much, because horrible people either say this stuff to put a bad rep on a group of people (usually a minority that is already hated on/oppressed) or they use it as an excuse for their actions. Or secret third option, they just say it for no reason

i've known a dude who'd do the most vile things ever, like just the worst things you can imagine, mostly boys, but also girls. he told me he was bipolar and bisexual, and genuinely, I could not care less nether of those things excuse you from being a gross piece of human rubbish and you're just making people with bipolar and people who are bi look bad.

I very personally hate it when people try to use mental illness as an excuse to be an asshole because it just feeds into negative stereotypes about them, like if I see someone flat out abuse their partner, like hitting them and screaming, the whole shebang and they say "it's not my fault! I have borderline personality disorder! and if you blame me, you're the problem. you're just an ablest jerk." like no bro, I just hate it when you actively contribute to the stereotype of people with BPD being violent and aggressive and unloveable, fucking own up to your mistakes and stop using a diagnosis as an excuse to hurt people.

I really do hate it when people will try to use a group or a label to make said group/label look bad or as an excuse, like, it's a very passionate hate for me and I just wish people would stop because it really does affect how people view these groups, like with the BPD example, or if someone is like "i'm LGBT" after doing something terrible, it'll make people preceve the LGBT group in a negative light, which some people genuinely want and is the point, to inspire hate in others.
