i kinda wanna expand my music taste. lately ive been listening to a lot of rock, indie, alt, and midwest emo so if you guys have something along those lines i would love it but i listen to everything so i'll take anything tbh

lana del rey has quite an indie sound and she makes a little bit of everything!

i highly recommend checking out her albums:

soft-rock:
blue banisters (my fav album by her!! and has her most "indie" sound and is filled with soft rock songs and beautiful ballads, also her least-streamed, least bought & most underrated album!)

indie:
norman fucking rockwell! (has a little bit of everything! her most critically acclaimed album and highest rated, but imo, is slightly overrated)

lust for life (also has some rock & lots of hip-hop influence- probably her most "hip-hop" sounding album, along with her major label debut "born to die")

honeymoon (very much a soft pop album- not for everyone but its has a very "indie pop" sound)

chemtrails over the country club (if u liked "norman fucking rockwell!" this album is basically a side b)

did you know that there's a tunnel under ocean blvd (her most complex album, her best songwriting, best production and very sad! [be prepared to violently sob throughout the whole thing] has basically everything- the first half is very much driven by acoustic guitar and piano ballads that make u sob for one song after another. but the second half is more upbeat and "soft rock" and she even raps on a few songs, and imo, is her 2nd best album)

and emo?
born to die (also alt-pop, hip-hop & trip-hop. is her debut "studio" album, but not her first. released in 2012 and very ahead of its time and sounds like it could be released today! it has her biggest hits, to: summertime sadness, born to die, video games, national anthem, radio, off to the races, blue jeans & diet mountain dew)

ultraviolence (her most "rock" sounding and oriented album, has lots of elements of electronic rock production. very much her most "emo" album with its dark themes and dark sounding production)

my chemical romance's album "danger days" is really good imo i would start of with the song "summertime" i remember having to loop it a bunch when i first heard it (its not like most of the mcr albums that get called 'emo' cause the band was experimenting with sound but its amazing in my opinion plus it has its whole story around it and comics about it but its still cool without knowing the story ofc) and another band i'd recommend is Babymetal just cuz they r great!!!!
