TD;LR: Naruto bleeds, Fairy Tail doesn't, Avatar doesn't take 5 minutes to land a punch
Naruto is an easy beginner anime, almost everyone starts with it. if we're gonna compare styles, the other end of the spectrum would be Fairy Tail (very much directed towards the youngster audience)
Once you, burn through both, and get the hankering for something fresh, ** Avatar the Last Airbender** is a Good choice.
