reposting will encourage more ppl to engage and most wont realize or care that its a repost

i feel like we shouldn't be able to reply to topics that are over two weeks old, or have punishment for repeated necroposting (one necropost every 14 days)
everyone brings up a dead topic every once and a while including me but its getting out of hand
what do yall think? if enough users agree ill bring it up to a admin.
