So, my foster mom took me out to go eat at my fav restaurant, Cheddars! And I always have a pleasant time there, so I was excited and happy!!
We get settled and as a few minutes pass, our server comes to take our orders. She was really pretty too, but thats besides the point-
She was very polite and took our orders with care. After she left, I went to go wash my hands. I took a bit to fix myself up.
I got back and was informed that my mom had already placed our orders for food, so I was really happy and waited.
As the minutes pass, I start to mention how I could see myself working here. My mom agreed and said that I should look into it.
Fast forward to our server bringing our food, my mom decided to ask how old one would have to be in order to work at the restaurant. The server said she'll ask her boss, which she did.
She comes back and the interaction went something like this;
Server: "He said you have to be at least 16 y/o, ma'am. Are you looking for a job for your son/daughter?"
Mom: points at me
Server: Taken slightly aback by hearing that "Oh, you're 16?-"
Me: "Ah, actually I'm 14-"
Server: Her jaw FŰCKING DROPS and her eyes practically pop from her head "Oh my, I thought you were an adult-"
What made this SOOOO funny is that I get mistaken as an adult A LOT. I'm told it's either because of my height or how I tend to present myself-
But yeah, I fooled a waitress into a two minute trance of PURE shock today, hbu?
