    Public Outreach & Communication

    • Serve as the primary voice of the organization to the public
      Communicate updates, announcements, and official statements

    Media & Platform Management

    • Manage public-facing platforms (social media, forums, announcements, press posts)
    • Coordinate with the media team on graphics, videos, and campaigns
    • Monitor engagement, comments, and public sentiment

    Reputation & Image Management

    • Protect and strengthen the community's public image
    • Address public concerns, feedback, and inquiries professionally
    • Assist with crisis communication when issues arise

    Community Relations

    • Identify and manage partnerships, sponsors, and collaborations

    Additionally, the Forum Services Team will officially become a division within this department.

    The window to join the BrowseDNS Moderation Team is rapidly narrowing. If you intend to represent the 4TU Service and contribute to our community, you must submit your application immediately. Once the portal closes, we will not be accepting late entries under any circumstances.

    🎓 What We Are Looking For

    ​
    We are seeking dedicated individuals who can demonstrate:

    ​SPaG Excellence: Spelling, Punctuation, and Grammar at all times.

    ​Professionalism: The ability to represent our developers and administrators without engaging in drama.

    ​Commitment: Trialists must be prepared to memorize the handbook within one day and meet weekly activity quotas (5 Activity Logs & 2 IP Logs).

    Integrity: We have a zero-tolerance policy for lying or unprofessional conduct.
    ​

    🔨 The Trialist Path

    ​Selected candidates will enter a high-intensity trial period. You will be expected to follow the Chain of Command (COC) and master our user punishment policies, ranging from Verbal Warnings to Permanent Terminations.

    Good question! They have a choice to continue as a Global Moderator or to retire. If they want to become global, we will look over their previous performance as a mod, and depending on the results of that they will likely be made a Global or a Trialist with the rest.

    Following our recent staff restructuring, we want to provide clarity on the changes regarding the Forum Moderator rank and our future plans for the site hierarchy.

    ​1. Why is the Forum Moderator role being removed?
    ​
    At BrowseDNS, we are moving toward a "Global-Only" leadership model. In the past, Forum Moderators were confined to specific categories, creating gaps in site-wide security.
    ​
    We are removing this role to eliminate those gaps. We no longer want "local" helpers; we want Elite Global Observers who have the skills to monitor the entire platform simultaneously. By thinning the hierarchy, we ensure that only the most professional and technically capable staff members represent our community.

    2. The Shift to "Trialist" Status

    ​The Forum Moderator badge is not disappearing immediately, but its meaning has changed. It is no longer a permanent rank. It has been repurposed as the Trialist phase.
    ​
    What it is now: A temporary 4-day probation marker.

    ​The Transition: If you see someone with the Forum Mod badge, they are currently in the "Elite Sprint" trial. They are being watched, audited, and tested.

    ​The Future: Once our current recruitment and transition cycle is over, the Forum Moderator role will be permanently deleted from the site’s code. You will either be a Global Moderator or a User.

    ​3. What we plan to do with the "Trialist" Period

    ​We are using this role to filter for the Observer Standard. During this 4-day period, we plan to:

    ​Test Technical Prowess: We are looking for those who can use Admin tools silently and efficiently.
    ​Evaluate Silence: We are watching to see who can "back away" from the chat and observe the logs like the Administration does.
    ​Final Promotion: Only those who prove they can handle the high-pressure Global workload will be promoted. All others will have the Forum Mod/Trialist badge removed and return to regular user status.

    4. The "High Quality" Filter
    ​Our plan is to keep the staff team small, elite, and silent. We do not want a large, chatty team. We want a few high-quality Observers who can maintain order without becoming the center of attention.
    ​The path to Global is narrow. This restructuring ensures that only those who truly embody the BrowseDNS philosophy will carry the badge.

    No it doesn't, we have to first find information, organize it, pick a staff member of the month, and hand it to Forum Services to complete. It takes about a day or two w/ collaboration.

    Hello! I know you're saying "NO MORE NEWS POSTS" right now. Here is another one.

    We've disabled the option to delete accounts for the following reasons:

    • To prevent users to delete their account & then come back hoping they did not delete it
    • To prevent users from deleting their account when they get in serious trouble... this has happened before
    • To give you that 2nd layer of protection on your accounts.

    If you want your account deleted contact the @Global-Moderators and they will guide you.

    Note that you MUST have a registered email with us in order to request an account deletion. All account deletions must be sent to contact@browsedns.net and it should be with the email your account is registered with.

    We will be looking to find ways to reverse account deletions if you ever do delete your account and want to come back... that way account deletes are not permanent. Until then the option will remain disabled.
