@_Izzy_ Just to be clear, I meant to say that beyblade and bakugan are the other similar shows that some kids chose instead of pokemon, to say they were "branching out" or something. That is my fault.

Godzilla's problem is hitting the bees, but he doesn't even need to since they die when they sting. Godzilla probably wouldn't even notice them.

@_Izzy_ Comparing a bad show to worse shows to say it's good is a terrible way to debate a topic, especially when we're talking about pokemon, which has been milked to hell and back. I'll compare it to similar shows for younger audiences instead. Beyblade, for example. While pokemon has the better character writing, beyblade battles are objectively faster-paced and make sense, and considering the fact that they are literal spinning tops proves pokemon to be horrid. Bakugan is another one that kids back in the day chose instead of pokemon or yugioh, and while i hate bakugan, the soundtrack is so well-done it makes pokemons dub tracks sound like raggae music made by a Scandinavian.

Yu-Gi-Oh! is also similar, but I won't go in to much detail as to why it's better, check my pfp, but yeah, no contest.

I think the anime community has been too focused on animation rather than writing.
This isn't just about the community, this changes the standard for anime production. Looking at 3D CGI examples like the newest Fist of The North Star or Berserk, it shows that 3D animation isn't recieved as well, even when it isn't the entire show. And Fist of The North Star Hokuto no Ken has a great story that people ignore for the 2d hand-drawn animation, which wouldn't be a problem if the hand-drawn anime didn't have objectively lazy writing (Solo Leveling) but still get all the hype.
Hokuto no Ken is also judged as an adaptation alone, not even as it's own show, which, as someone who has only seen Hokuto no Ken and not the older version, it feels like it completely erases my opinion of the story to everyone else.
It feels like even without 3d animation, the anime scene has become animation focused now, and newer shows coming out like Steel Ball Run are forced to cater to the "One Piece peak fiction" side of the fandom. What are your guys' thoughts?
