democrat, republicans, and socialist dems. which is the bestdude what the [censored] are these questions lmao, i'm still surprised the communism one went well
-
your opinion on billionaires? The justice system needs to be more equal so that a bunch of evil rich people actually go to prison
-
why is communism bad@Shockrat true, the only real major flaw in the system is the fact that it doesn't factor in corruption and some people being just absolutely evil for no reason tbh. If everyone somehow had common sense, were less selfish, worked hard to improve their own lives and the lives of the people around them, and had basic human empathy at all times then the execution would probably work out (capitalism in this better world would also just end up becoming a redundant waste of paper, since most people would just help eachother out anyway), but wayyyyyyy too many people don't have any of those traits so the execution just always fails.
(forum requires at least 7 days to be able to upvote a post lol, so everytime I kinda agree with something I have to actually make a post)

Self Improvement PostI need to:
- Go to bad at 8pm every night, stop watching youtube until like 1am-3am.
- Finish all of the overdue school assignments, with at least 2-3 being done daily even on the weekends.
Hopefully me making this post will actually motivate myself to get better.

HERE ME OUT DNS DUDESIt's mainly low-effort short-form content as a whole tbh. TikTok, youtube shorts, instagram reels, etc. Generative AI is just the tool they use now.
Like really dumb content targeted towards just straight up destroying attention spans.

Help me w/ my gameUnity is still usable without major like moral issues, but it's still very risky considering the same board full of biblical-level greedy mfs are still there (i think the ceo got fired but that's just for public image atp). Plus, I think I heard the quality of the engine has been going down.
It was pretty bad of a personal experience while I was learning it tbh, it was hard-carried by documentation, tutorials and the community who have mostly now moved to godot.
-
Help me w/ my game@xenth yeah that situation was pretty bad, I was learning unity at that time and instantly stopped as soon as I heard about all of that mess.
Unity tried to implement a pay-per-install fee, which wasn't even well-defined and didn't even talk that much about how it would actually work. Basically, everytime someone would install your game they would want you to pay them a undefined fee. When they announced they were about to do this, it destroyed the reputation of the company forever. It's funny because it would've destroyed those f2p mobile games, which was likely what was making unity the most money at that time.
NOTE: they don't actually pay any developers (unless they made/published some games themselves, or if the dev uses their ad program), the developers use the engine to make money and pay unity a share of their revenue from the game. I don't remember them suing anybody over it since it never actually went into effect, but they might've idk.
I also don't think any games were deleted, since the devs would lose a lot of progress. A good amount of studios stopped using unity for any future games, but after the fee was dropped, a good amount stayed because they already developed skills and a whole workflow with the engine.
