I don't like it when people confuse labels for groups. When people pretend that a trait/label that can apply to anyone in different ways is like a entire group of people that should be associated with eachother. Like the worst example of this is fandom culture. Whenever I hear someone say "x fandom" I cringe so hard because it's just entirely random people that happen to like x that should not be grouped together. Like how people say the tadc fandom is bad when it's just the random trashy people gooseworx interacts with on twitter. It literally causes most of the world's problems.

Try looking up Brackey's godot engine 4 2d platformer tutorial to start game dev, it doesn't require programming experience either (which is also another pretty important question, like whether or not you have programming experience before this)

@Innocent If you haven't picked a game engine/don't have experience with one I would DEFINITELY NOT CHOOSE UNREAL ENGINE. It is so fuckass for beginners there's basically no tutorials or documentation and i'm still confused on how I was able to learn it.

Godot Engine is really beginner friendly and has a million tutorials with community support for any question possible. It also has amazing documentation that can replace tutorials. Although the engine's 3D support is kinda fuckass (bad), it's still decent enough to make a whole game in. Godot's 2D support is also literally perfect in everyway, and unlike unity it's actually pure 2d that isn't rendered in a 3d environment.

Unity is the the third option i'm not mentioning since it's now just a worse godot (that's admittedly better for 3D games) with a greedy company that tried to screw all their users over. I tried learning it but it didn't click with me while I was learning, and then the company decided to add a pay-per-install fee (that was cancelled) that destroyed any and all customer trust since it was completely random and greedy.

also don't use roblox for obvious reasons you'll be surrounded by pdfs 24/7 and be exploited to exploit children by the Roblox Corporation, even if the game is multiplayer do not choose roblox there are other free hosting alternatives if you need game servers

it's like the weird council trend on social media. basically people are pretending to be a part of a cult-like 'council' on the internet as a joke, it's funny usually tbh (I don't think theres been any cases of any psychos trying to ruin it by actually acting like a cult member).

face reveals should kinda be discouraged tbh, like it's just unecessary personal information being publicly sent to complete strangers on the internet. weirdos also exist (example shown above), so it's just really unsafe for anyone (unfortunately especially minors) to show their face on the internet

@french_fry_guy Yeah, a lot of other additions feel super modded because they don't connect to the rest of the game and feel like they're in their own standalone system (like how a mod would function). EXAMPLE: the sniffer, trial chambers, etc (i actually can't think of any other examples yet).

Although there's also been a lot of really good additions that feel vanilla like the cushion, since it actually connects to the rest of the game by allowing some really cool builds with other blocks (despite literally being a feature from 99% of mods).

Everything in base minecraft has like at least two different uses that connect to the other parts of the game, which I think the game designers are starting to understand now

I'm hyped for it, as long as it connects to the rest of the game the same way the other dimensions do.

Some games like Among Us or Roblox would be actually perfect if they were at all moderated.

I uninstalled Among Us and plan to never play it again after seeing people straight up bully or harass people, especially women, minorites, children, or literally anyone on there repeatedly. There's also a huge chance of encountering a creep on there similarly to literal roblox, one of the worst examples of bad moderation ever. Like it's so bad in public lobbies that it's completely unplayable.

I didn't think anybody else knew about the song lol. The movie could've genuinely been so much better with the song, "how ΑSS can I be" is so much worse of a song to pick for the once-ler. It makes everything he does seem so much less serious, while biggering reveals his whole mentality while criticising it throughout. I guess the executives of whatever studio made The Lorax felt insecure after hearing it. The lost potential hurts so much more than the movie just being kinda bad from the start, especially since the WHOLE SONG was already made.
