nikolais whole purpose as a person is to prove he has free will and can do what he likes

its quite tragic reallythe one thing he wants from life
he can never truly get it
by killing fyodor to prove he has free will, he proved that he listens to what he wants
and at the end of s5 when hes all sad about fyodor dying, it really hurt me cuz it wasnt even for a reason
he killed his best friend to prove free will and proved that free will was unacheivable in the processits quite a tragic and theatrical ending form sutch a dramatic character
