History Of Gothic Culture/Subculture

Gothic was born in England around the 1980s, It began with fans of Gothic rock bands, such as the cure, sioxuie and the banshees, etc etc...

What is a goth?

Black clothing and heavy makeup doesnt make up the entire goth subculture. Since goth is a music based subculture, To be a goth, you must listen and appreciate the music. Many people who are unfamiliar with the subculture often assume its all about the clothing and makeup. Yes, it has its roles but its not what its all about. They also might associate emo with goth, but they are different.
