i think this site has had issues with debates and disscusoins turning into agruments, honestly, i want this to be a friendly discussion about AI car morality. should the AI prioritize the safety of the driver, a person in another car, or prioritize saving as many lives as possible, even if it means the death of the driver, or should AI not be allowed to drive period. how do you feel about this?

@Yanderemenhera I think it should be a team thing, like AI and the human driver working together. If something goes wrong on one end, the other can step in to fix it..but idk. There are flaws on both ends tbh. It could be better working together though

my opinion on the matter is self driving cars should not be a thing, have you seen the glitches and such AI still has? i legally can't get a license due to seizures but i would never trust my life and the life of others in one.

@Yanderemenhera Yeah, I've thought about that..AI can certainly make mistakes, and it has a lot so..the trust and accuracy factor is definitely a huge risk

even if i magicly won an AI car and somehow i was allowed to operate it despite the seizures i would not use it. i would likely sell it for money. i don't want to be responsible for that shit

another huge problem with it is accountability. if ai malfunctions, whos at fault? the human isnt in control so not them. and to prove the ai company is at fault, youd have to prove negligence in the software which is much MUCH harder than proving another human caused a crash

Because if a person makes a mistake there's an actual thing to blame, AI makes a mistake and EVERYBODY could die, and we'd still continue to use it because "oh, it just needs to be improved, that was an error, let's fix the code" UH NO IT NEEDS TO BE STOPPED, you wouldn't give a PERSON that chance had they killed a family of 4 in a car to save a family of 7.

@Eggyz999 i have seizures, where i live i am legally unaloud to drive. ik sometimes people say self driving cars would be good for the "disabled" but that is a load of horse shit. i think it'd be the same to play Russian rullet with everyone one the road's safety with me driving.
