blue screen of death

when i turned on my switch today, i got a blue screen. nothing but blue, not developer settings, just nadda. then after restarting it a bunch it was working again, but then after a few moments the screen would freeze and i'd have to rest it yet again. does anyone know what this is? a failed nintendo update maybe?

i spent two hours restarting and plugging in my switch but ik it'll stop working again, it'll probably be cheeper just to buy a new switch. i can get one in better condition for 25-35$usd but it might be a while

@ilovecats2018 a pawn shop, used switch lites are never more than 60$ but are usually much less. dsi's are usually more expensive despite being literally 20 years old
