mind my idiocy if im wrong, but what if the demon core was encased in lead? from what i know, lead can deflect radioactivity, but.. what would happen? would it reflect and increase in radioactivity steadily, or would it just stay at the same level? the demon core was so radioactive, that criticality was a "blue light" and the main scientist apparently went inane from the radioactivity in his brain, what would happen if that radioactivity COULDN'T escape?

this is one of my favorite subjects, the demon core was really destructive but fascinating

@Dooie the demon core is a highly radioactive plutonium sphere between two half spheres, scientists were testing directions of radioactive beams when the screwdriver used to prop the halves slipped, when it did it caused a highly radioactive criticality that was even visible as a blue light
