Nintendo is not financially incentivized to do this. We have a petition asking them to enable the web browser more, but with 26,000+ signatures already it doesn't seem likely that they will respond.

also, another option would be if they'd allow other browsers to be downloaded on the eShop. This would allow both security and safety concerns to be addressed.

@VGMoose i would like to add that nintendo is often the big meanie with a hate boner for its fans. so its actually pretty damn likely that if by some miracle they saw the petition, they would roll out a patch and get rid of switchbru/dns bypasses like this rather then adding it as an app.

i reckon browsedns being underground and unkown is the only thing keeping it from nintendo's death scife. think of it as the black web of the switch lol

It's a little underground relative to the total number of switch users in the world, but the DNS itself has existed since week 2 of the Switch's life. I'm sure Nintendo has patched accessing the browser this way as much as they see fit already (removed video, added timeout, small bugfixes, no cookies).
