Title says it all. The platform is slowly phasing out relevance.
But who would I be to call out an issue without naming a solution?First of all, we have to get to the why;
-The content produced by users is typically shorter term anecdotes rather than actually being of substance or reeling interaction
-Users make the atmosphere uninviting by not allowing certain nieches or introductions for new users
-The general concept of a "forum" has been lost. This website wasn't designed to post about face reveals or icebreakers, it was made to host topics, especially towards the concept of BDNS and how to move forward with itHow YOU can help:
-Post about your interests! Share quirky things that you're well educated on and can share, no matter how "out there" it might feel
-Host cordial debates, not ones that cause toxic arguements, ones that are conducive to problem-solution oriented mindsets
-Keep generalized points of interest in designated areas, particularly in shoutbox, etc
And most importantly:
-Share your ideas! Tell us all what you think would make BDNS a better platform moving forward. From what i can gather, the developers & admins really value feedback, so share it! Every little contribution helps, and you definitely have the power to influence the future of this platformMake a change, for the better :)

honestly, i feel like forums are dying, ngl, if 4chan worked ok on the switch i'd just use that.
i think bc it's a 13+ site and the people on here are young they don't understand the concept of a forum. plus, bc its a +13 site, users of forums that actually still exist probably wouldn't touch it bc what they would like to post about might be banned asap. i mean..... You've seen what comes outta 4chan. i don't think this is gonna fix the issue. at the end of the day, everything keeps changing.
i made a post talking about censorship fails online last night, i do see similaritys between my point and this, but i was mostly sharing my obeservatoins on my matter.

@Party_Poison no, im saying that there needs to be more discipline in what gets posted. the problem with bdns right now isnt whats being posted, its just how frequent it is. obviously we all need an outlet to be weird/silly but thats been the predominantly only thing on BDNS for a good year at least. im not asking for a full eradication of what people are already posting, im asking for balance

i am not exactly sure how to fix this, or if we even can, but what i do know is a lotta peeps on here just treat this like regular social media@Yanderemenhera I think this is the problem in general. everybody who uses this site just treats it as if it's facebook or something (except I believe that facebook is prolly more structured). overall your right, I think people don't treat this as a forum, more just social media for the switch. which makes sense, because the amount of switch users on here that prolly don't have access to social media elsewhere is pretty high. overall we do need a reform, and I'd be very happy to see this site actually host cordial debates and for people to talk about what inspires them.

@Party_Poison I see, well with this site being in the nature of a forum, it's also not a bad place to talk about coding. and plus, many people can't actually use a dev group because of the switch (I can't, and I very much appreciate when people talk abt coding on here)
