how does every feel about everyone leaving this site?

something i have noticed is people who are like veterans or people who just made an account are leaving, now this is just my opinion, but i feel like this site has been extremely toxic. witch sounds absurd given how the rules of this site are. i feel like we as a community should try to be nicer to eachother. you never know how what you say on here will effect someone irl. do you think we can be more welcoming?
ik i try to message and follow all the new users i see and try to help them feel at home, as aposed to just ignoring them or whatever.
do you guys have any ideas on how to try to make this site less toxic? -

This site definitely isn't my definition of toxic, I used to be on a drawing site and whenever I would join the chat they'd tell me to kms and nobody could report anything either. This site is dead, which is probably why users are choosing to leave :P

it feels boring, bland, and just idk... not just dead, but like the users that haven't quit yet just feel tired. -
it feels like it has failed as a forum. and it can't adapt to the push for it to turn into social media, like x or instagram

honestly this is all decently true, but I'd agree with the sentiment of it's less about everyone being extremely toxic, and more that we just aren't getting a lot of activity. and its really easy to notice that, considering that we barely ever see new topics that get genuine engagement. plus I'd guess that most users (like myself) use DM's far more than the actual forum. and I also feel like tis post ties into what we all have bee discussing lately: the site has some pretty decenty sized problems. and for myself, plenty of the time I don't post, because either I know that it's gonna be ignored, nobodys gonna care/give me genuine advice or feedback, or ppl might js derail it. this again just highlighta the problems here, and imagine if we could make this site more engaging/inspiring, I personally would love to see that.
