I'm sick of people posting about how they're gonna hurt themselves or giving me details about their mental state that is too much or too personal. Firstly, let me be honest and say I don't give a shit. If you're not my friend I honestly don't want to know. If you are seriously mentally struggling go tell someone who can actually do something, or who knows you not fucking randoms on the Internet. Yes, I made a post mentioning my mental health, but what I didn't do was go into details. It should stay brief and you should have a genuine reason to bring it up. Secondly, it looks like you're seeking attention, i'm gonna be honest. Most people either tell their friends or get professional help (notice how these people will care and actually know you?!)
Yeah, i'm sick of being worried about being seen as 'mean' because in reality, i'm being honest about what everyone else is too scared to say.

Can you chill out, it was a single post someone made. If you're sensitive to the content regarding the details about someone's mental health, you can honestly simply just not click on the topic. I mean, I do get the fact that it can trigger some feelings, but with a title of a topic like that, you know what you're getting into. Although, I do share the same point of view when someone is sharing too much privately in DMs or when they're publicly posting such about their destructive behavior. You can always just tell them that you're not comfortable with them sharing, or remind them it's against the rules. Besides, you said that you "don't give a shit." I don't see the why you're so pressed about this
Many people don't have the luxury of reaching out to people in their personal life, they might even feel uncomfortable doing so. Hence why the reach out to others online for help, Bdns is a forum. What do you do on forums? Reply to topics and help each other out depending on the subject matter.
It's not even like you're being necessarily mean, just a bit way too pretentious honestly
You've shared your own mental health struggles like you've said, you've made several previous posts on your old account. I don't see why it's such a big issue

I'm unfortunately going to have to be the one to agree on this. I know i'm gonna get flamed, but yeah he is right. Your personal life is YOUR life, and even if people "wanted" the details. THEY DONT NEED THEM. Everyone forgets that you should have some level of privacy on the internet bc yes there are weirdos out there who STALK AND PREY on kids with "mental issues". I unfortunately had to learn this the hard way. Kids, please keep yourselves safe on the internet and don't post stuff like what he is referring to. you don't owe people and explanation of why you were offline. Thank you.

No, it wasn't just a single post there's been multiple and it's always bothered me, just I haven't been able to voice it. I understand the fact that some people may not have anyone to talk to but they can tell people through DMs or make a post, but don't go into details. I haven't gone indepth into my mental health, I've made posts about it but they've never too much or very personal to myself. Even if I have, I would've deleted it later out of embarrassment. I'm not trying to say mental health's a thing to be embarrassed about but personally I don't like loads of people knowing about what's going on in my head :/
I wouldn't say i'm pressed, but it is annoying when it's a forum filled with teenagers that are either struggling themselves or can't do much to help.

@Aries it's kind of ironic that you're annoyed by it when you're barely a teenager yourself who does the same thing I get what you mean, but at the same time youve gotta understand the fact that not everyone can just bottle it all up. Sure, they can talk about those discussions privately, but not everyone can just reach out. Sure, I understand the fact that people on here can't actively help in real time, however their friends on the forum can bring tips to help them calm down and many ways/reasons not to do it. Hell, I could honestly care less if they harm themselves (ifywim), but one thing I won't do is stop them from their attempt on trying to reach out before it's too late. Some people have different tolerances for that type of subject matter and don't feel as you put it "embarrassment" and delete the topic later lmao
Also, you're acting like the forums filled with those types of posts I mean, their has been a small fluctuation of them recently, but the number of topics that consist of those discrepancies are fairly once in a blue moon </3

I don't want people harming themselves, i'm far from ever wanting that and by all means go get help but not on a public post that literally ANYBODY on the Internet can access. It shows vulnerability and especially for a minor that's what preds look for.

yeah I agree with what swaggy is saying here you made it seem like you were discarding other eople whose gone through a hard life like I think its okay to give details as long as it's not like an information that could put you in risk of dangers and it's discouraging to call some people attention seekers for simply reaching out for some bit of support I think after 2025 which we can all agree was a shit year we should be trying to support each other rn and try spreading more positivy
