The definitive meaning of necroposting is replying a post from a long time ago because by that time, the thread is probably closed. The reply can be from a week to even a decade. I know some forums where necroposting is not allowed because either it has been over with or the thread doesn't need to be brought up in the first place though you can reference/quote it in some cases. What's your opinion on necroposting and should it be a rule in BDNS?

My take on this is I think it should be a rule, but only if the thread wasn't active for a few days in my opinion. Then it could be closed. But either way, necroposting gets pretty annoying if the thread is really old and it should be a thing. Just my opinion though
