i think the ''us vs them'' mentality is part of every human. regardless of time period. you can find evidence for it basically as far back as you go in history. it wasnt just one guy, it was evolutionary beneficial at the time to fear others outside our group and unfortunately, it sticks around in modern day like our horrificly shaped spine and our craving for sugar. hell, in US history you could argue our craving for sugar played in the role of the dehumanization, torcher, and forced labor of our own speices.
@Yanderemenhera I think you have a point but racism, the discrimination against a race, is taught, not natural, because race is a social concept so while grouping up is human nature, racism itself is not

So basically I'm just on my phone scrolling insta which most of my reels are racist jokes and things saying I'm gay and like femboys and I'm watching these reels and the thought comes........ Who created racism
@Jujub_811
People have things against many people, this isn’t just race. People have always wanted to find outsiders.
If everyone is inside a circle, there will be a new outside if you see what I mean. If everyone is rich, nobody is.
To have hate in common, and people to sneer at is something humans have been doing for a long while. It makes the haters have something in common with all the other haters, makes them feel included in a group that is “better than the rest” (like supremacy)When people enslaved people, it was helpful for them to find a reason to make these people less human. Less money paid, less guilt for treating these slaves wrong. It’s a mix of the human selfishness and instinctual wish for survival that contributed to having slaves and removing guilt for how morally wrong it is.
Like during WWII. Jews aren’t a race, but an ethnicity. They are different based on this grouping they were put into by words and a few different features. This surely wasn’t the main reason for the hate and crimes done against them. It was only because of the words that grouped them, and the different lifestyle. And it was because people have hate in their hearts.
When people aren’t doing well in life, there will be an almost desperate attempt to find perpetrators, find the cause of WHY they aren’t as happy or rich as they’d wish.
To accept the numerous reasons that aren’t black and white, and to accept one’s own impotence, is a blow to anyone’s self worth, the treasured ego.Once you are looking for perpetrators, you have rewired your way of thinking. Viewing bad, looking only for malicious intent. The man responsible for the movement of hatred of Jews (and other groups) was really just creating a target for hate to be released, when before it was hate and anger radiating out of the people with no particular aim.
People always hate, but hate to admit they don’t always have reason, or that the reason is really just the unrestrained nature of people in power when morals are forgotten. So many little things can build to bigger. Little cultural differences, little physical differences.
People are racist, people are ableist, people are sexist. There are always going to be groups that are hated, always have been.
I repeat that this form of hatred is NOT limited to racism. It’s all tied together, all from the same roots.The only reason one might try to call it “skin tone” would be because they were raised with prejudiced people all around them, so that this color is tied in with the personality that they were told is bad. The skin and features are only a way to group people. It is not only the skin.
Why are people with a particular eye color never oppressed or hated for these attributes? Because that isn’t a particular group of people with a name smacked on them. As soon as people are labeled, they will be attacked based on this label, because labels are the beginning of objectification.
Perhaps I ought to be more optimistic though, maybe there will be a fix to these problems at some point in time.
Too bad I do believe this works like the Dunning-Kruger effect. Those uneducated to their own bias don’t know it exists, those who have blind spots can’t see what they are blind to.All I have said is based on my own perspective, how I think of the issue. I believe racism is linked to psychology and not just events. Choices made by humans sprout from the mind so that is where I look.
