We moved on from our Christmas Theme this afternoon, a little later than I had wanted. However, the new theme has been added as I have already stated. To use it, you must use our Default Theme.

The Recruitment & Training Department, in coordination with Administration, has completed the final review of Global Moderator Exam V1.
This examination is designed to be deliberately demanding. It evaluates not only policy knowledge, but judgment, professionalism, SPaG proficiency, and the ability to operate within the Chain of Command under real enforcement conditions. A passing score of 112/140 (80%) reflects a clear and measurable standard.

If it isn't your reel, you can share them anywhere around the site. It's the same for YouTube Videos that aren't yours and TikTok. The only time you are only permitted to send it in DMs or your profile is when it is your material or social media profile.
This whole approach is just bad for security, unreliable, foolish, and needs to stop now.
Since people use BrowseDNS on their Nintendo Switch, trying to track users by their IP address is even harder than usual. Nintendo's network stuff uses things like CGNAT, shared IPs, and routing that makes it look like many different people are using the same IP address, or one person is using many IPs.
And that's before you add in bots, VPNs, or other tricks to hide your IP. There's just no reliable way to trace anything back to one person using just their IP. Trying to ban the main account based on IP is pointless and easy to get around, especially with bots consistently making account most likely through a script targeting NodeBB forums.
Worse, IP addresses were shared with someone who wasn't really a moderator by you apparently. That's a failure in checking who has access to what. Also, who knows where those IPs even came from? Without real logs and controlled access, that data is garbage and shouldn't be used to make decisions.
Basically:
IP addresses aren't a person's identity.
CGNAT and shared IPs mess up simple IP tracking.
Sharing IP data outside official channels is a security risk.
Acting on bad IP data can lead to wrongly punishing innocent users.
Only authorized staffers using the right BrowseDNS tools should be looking at or using network data. Any IP info that comes from outside those tools is no good and shouldn't be used.
If you think there's automated abuse going on, the right way to handle it is by looking at how people are behaving on the platform: watching for suspicious activity, limiting how fast people can do things, tracking sessions, and using device info (within the platform's limits). Don't go wild chasing IPs.
If this keeps up, the team will take action against your account, all the way up to banning it.
This isn't some genius move. It's a misunderstanding of how things work that creates security, privacy, and legal problems through your own inexperience and foolishness when it comes to internal investigation and techniques that the cyber security field brings.
In a short summary, tracing IP's to their main source in impossible when it comes to possible botnets and scripts used to target NodeBB forums through advertisement bots.

Good question! They have a choice to continue as a Global Moderator or to retire. If they want to become global, we will look over their previous performance as a mod, and depending on the results of that they will likely be made a Global or a Trialist with the rest.

This board serves as the senior leadership tier of our community, sitting directly below the Administration. We are proud to appoint NightmareWolfie and Nared as our new Board Of Executives.
️ The Executive Mandate
The Board of Executives is tasked with the high-level management of all site divisions. They will work in close partnership with the Administration to ensure that every department operates with the "High-Quality" precision our community expects.
Their expanded roles include:
Management of the Moderation Department:
The Board will oversee all Global Moderators and Trialists. They are responsible for staff discipline, promotions, the 4-Day Elite Sprint evaluations, and ensuring the "Observer" philosophy is maintained site-wide.
Forum Services Oversight: The Board will manage the Forum Services Department, ensuring that user requests, support tickets, newsletters, media , and community features are handled efficiently and professionally.
Site Operations: They will oversee daily Site Operations. This includes monitoring site health, technical troubleshooting, and coordinating with the Administration on new feature rollout requests or structural changes.
Strategic Planning: Working hand-in-hand with the Administration to develop long-term goals for BrowseDNS, ensuring we remain the premier destination for our users.

Following our recent staff restructuring, we want to provide clarity on the changes regarding the Forum Moderator rank and our future plans for the site hierarchy.
1. Why is the Forum Moderator role being removed?
At BrowseDNS, we are moving toward a "Global-Only" leadership model. In the past, Forum Moderators were confined to specific categories, creating gaps in site-wide security.
We are removing this role to eliminate those gaps. We no longer want "local" helpers; we want Elite Global Observers who have the skills to monitor the entire platform simultaneously. By thinning the hierarchy, we ensure that only the most professional and technically capable staff members represent our community.
2. The Shift to "Trialist" Status
The Forum Moderator badge is not disappearing immediately, but its meaning has changed. It is no longer a permanent rank. It has been repurposed as the Trialist phase.
What it is now: A temporary 4-day probation marker.
The Transition: If you see someone with the Forum Mod badge, they are currently in the "Elite Sprint" trial. They are being watched, audited, and tested.
The Future: Once our current recruitment and transition cycle is over, the Forum Moderator role will be permanently deleted from the site’s code. You will either be a Global Moderator or a User.
3. What we plan to do with the "Trialist" Period
We are using this role to filter for the Observer Standard. During this 4-day period, we plan to:
Test Technical Prowess: We are looking for those who can use Admin tools silently and efficiently.
Evaluate Silence: We are watching to see who can "back away" from the chat and observe the logs like the Administration does.
Final Promotion: Only those who prove they can handle the high-pressure Global workload will be promoted. All others will have the Forum Mod/Trialist badge removed and return to regular user status.
4. The "High Quality" Filter
Our plan is to keep the staff team small, elite, and silent. We do not want a large, chatty team. We want a few high-quality Observers who can maintain order without becoming the center of attention.
The path to Global is narrow. This restructuring ensures that only those who truly embody the BrowseDNS philosophy will carry the badge.
