Hello BrowseDNS Community,

To improve the quality of our discussions and ensure that posts are easy to find, we have updated the forum's default homepage. Users will now land on the Category View rather than the "Recent Posts" feed.

Why this change?

We’ve noticed many "regular" topics being posted in specialized technical categories. This often happens because the recent feed bypasses the context of where a post actually belongs.

What this means for you:

Better Organization: You will now select a category first, ensuring your post reaches the right audience.
Visibility of Rules: By entering a category, you will automatically see the Category Description and Pinned Posts (like the guidelines in @general discussion).
Read Before You Post: This extra step ensures everyone is aware of the specific rules for a section before hitting "Submit."

In addition to this, you will no longer be able to change your default homepage. Moving forward, you can access the recents page by clicking on the sidebar or clicking the link directly.

Action: Verbal or Written Warning.

Mini-Modding (Acting as a Moderator)
Thread derailing or Media Flooding
General Spamming / Flooding
Posting screenshots of private messages
Disrespectful or rude behavior
Posting social media accounts or unfiltered websites
Inappropriate content or reputation farming
Maintaining more than one alternative account
Engaging in prohibited Controversial Topics

Medium Infractions

Action: 1-3 Hour Mute (Escalating to 2 days for repeat offenses).

Discussion of drugs, weapons, or illegal acts
BDSM references or inappropriate adult themes
Mentioning or referring to suicide or self-harm
Sensitive/Restricted topics (Terrorism, etc.)
Use of Racial/Ethnic slurs or Hate Speech
Disrupting the website after being asked to stop
Posting sensitive information or unauthorized VPN usage

Semi-Major Infractions

Action: Temporary Ban (1 week to 1 month).

Mass Advertising
Impersonation of users or staff
Harassment or non-severe Doxxing
Persistent VPN usage after multiple staff requests
Soliciting personal meetups or sensitive addresses
Account sharing

Major Infractions

Action: Long-Term Ban (1-2 Years).

Underage (Under 13) or Lying about age
Sending and/or requesting any form of nudity
Discrimination or severe violations of the TOS
Repeated failure to adhere to temporary ban conditions

IMMEDIATE INFRACTIONS

Action: Permanent Ban.

CSAM / Child Pornography
Copyright infringements or promoting/enabling piracy
Threats to Hack, DDOS, or DOS
Severe nudity distribution
Distribution of illegal material or prohibited material.

I am tired of people complaining about us getting on to them for posting in the wrong category when we have said the same thing millions of times.

From now on, if you aren't new and you post something that has absolutely nothing to do with that topic and there is a pinned message for you to read and the very top that is labeled "Read Before Posting", expect some form of reprimand. You can't even be upset anymore, no more excuses.
