It's kind of stupid to have multiple, it's made and meant to be an individual award for someone who stands out over the rest, not multiple people who stand out.

there should only be one chosen user of the year and maybe one staff nominated.

Howdy,

I come here with some exciting news, I have appointed a very special individual on our team to a very important role, the most important role!

I have watched them grow, learn, and experience the mod community since the beginning. This user has shown an extreme amount of dedication to the community, has a strong reputation, and has committed extremely large amounts of time to the forum.

Although their first time being Moderator was a bit rough, from being fired for issues, to mistakes, and more– they've shown courage and resilience to these obstacles, which matters the most to us.

They are now considered an Admin-In-Training while we teach them the fundamentals and will oversee/manage the community from now on while I am away.

Please congratulate, @NightmareWolfie on the promotion!

Unfortunately, the only issue with that is the fact that the edit history only shows in theads/posts, not chat messages.

We fear that someone could say something rule violating and edit the message before a staff member can act on it, so it is only kept on for Global mods. However, in a future NodeBB update where they add it to the chat system, we will most definitely bring it to the forums.

Long ago, the mod team had voted to remove them and the fake mod badges, etc. We removed them, they just keep getting added back. It's not that huge of an issue until it genuinely creates confusion, so we haven't really deleted them much.

If there is still banned badges.. they were added after I removed them. I spent over an hour going through over 500 groups and deleting the ones like that plus ones that were against our rules at the time.
