@GumiDow obvi the term "God" is all living and can't be killed/die, but I'd say he did a good job at trying to perceive that way for the 3/4 of the anime. plus a lot of people had faith in him in the second half of the anime js like people now. I'd say he was a god at one point and could've been way more if near didn't catch on.

Prove he was god cause even if he did die the shinigami said he wouldn't go to heaven or hell so he went to the shimigami realm to become a shimigami and shimigami are death lords and they can't die.

@detective_Light YO YOU'RE RIGHT I LWK FORGOT THAT.. but I thought Ryuk said anyone who used the death note doesn't go to heaven nor hell, instead they go to a place where there is nothing- (Mu) where identity doesn't exist, but in the shimigami realm you still know you're identity (if that makes sense )
