for those who dont know, @Johnny.SS was a controversial user and had a history of being confrontational when he felt disrespected and often spoke his mind. Despite this, he actually stopped being a j erk and started to change his reputation, making friends with some users and even starting a mental health group and fan club ( @JOHNNY.SS_GLAZER ).
Right when things were actually going good and everyone was getting along, some mod mistook a post he had made targeted towards me for him tryning to bring up some sort of past drama with another user??? but he never specified what drama or what user, and quickly ban Johnny for a pretty long time.
Johnny obviously felt like this was messed up and submitted a appeal, but nothing was done about it.
one day he mentioned it off site in a discord server with the mods, and a mod told him to submit a appeal and that it the obvious thing to do, and Johnny, obviously frustrated since that mod knew he already did, impulsively responded with "i know b*tch"
ofcourse he faced consequences for this, but this consequence was rather extreme, with being PERMANENTLY ban from dns.
its been MONTHS since he was ban (over a misunderstanding mind you) and one user was only ban for a year or two for sexually harrassing ppl in dms, and most users dont even know why johnny was ban in the first place!!!
its a shame bc he was actually trying to be nice and was ban anyway, only to get permanently ban for expressing his frustration
(this isnt me tryna argue yall! pls be respectful in the replies, and feel free to be honest abt if you DONT want him unban despite him changing his attitude)

edit: so what happened is a mod told Johnny he could have just emailed a mod and he said 'i did [censored]' bc that was the mod he emailed and ig he said he felt disrespected at something the mod said before that, and the whole conflict started with him saying smth like 'yall should unban me frfr'
(ok my last edit yall i swear TvT) based of the replies no one ACTUALLY had a problem with him and or would really mind if he was unban, it feels like his perma ban wasnt for the sake of the community but for the sake of the mods ego(s) :/

The Appeal Decision was up to the Moderator and the rest of the Moderation Team, let's not blame this solely on one Moderator. We all agreed not to unban him.

i wasn't involved with his ban so i'm not really sure what happened, but i'm sorry that happened. i'm not really sure though if people can ask him to be unbanned and if enough people want him back they'll let him comeback, but I do think the moderation team needs to revisit this

i wasn't involved with his ban so i'm not really sure what happened, but i'm sorry that happened. i'm not really sure though if people can ask him to be unbanned and if enough people want him back they'll let him comeback, but I do think the moderation team needs to revisit this

I was giving what I thought would be a staff view on things because I have prior experience. I can just be serious sometimes, there's nothing really funny about this or jokey. My last reply, don't worry. But I never wanted johnny banned, I think it'd be a bit dumb to think that, especially knowing that i'd probably get an equal consequence. I never really liked him, but I never really felt as though I had it 'out' for him. If he did something I didn't like, i'd tell him but I think towards the end we were okay with eachother

If you are banned and continue to disrespect staff, that justifies a permanent ban any day of the week and if our moderators were certainly disrespected by him I would have done the exact same thing regardless. I'm sure our staff would certainly agree with me here.
You are acting like Johnny was the only people we were removing during that time period; multiple other trolls and individuals were removed as well. Do not sit here and turn the tables on us like we did something wrong, WE did our duties and that's it. Admit he messed up and even if he didn't, he certainly did by calling me an offensive term. Our decisions will always be judgemental based mixed with our current policies as well. @Almond would certainly have banned him permanently if he openly disrespected Maribitt or any members of our staff just like I did.
Regardless, we tell you to block people and you don't (so why should we have to take the time to unban you when you appeal if you don't listen??). Doesn't quite make much sense. We tell all of you the same thing all the time. It is no longer our problem and I do not expect our staff to put up with this continuous foolishness.

that's still not my point, either way he was banned and was disrespectful to staff. Adding up all the previous incidents to this is why he was banned. I remember the entire situation, I made a mistake on the Ban Duration, I mistook it for a year.
He's not getting unbanned, stop crying about it. That's final.
